Less is more

I have been exposed to both privation and luxury in my life and now in my "declining years" I find I like to live simply. Material goods require not only the initial expense but also upkeep. I have not found that they help me be more popular and a self-image based on what we own is fragile indeed. So I give away what i don't need and buy as little as I can-what I call a spending diet.

About Me

Ana
I'm enjoying retirement but always busy, reflective and talkative, curious about many things. I have seven grown children and six grandchildren and family is very important to me. I've always been a penny-pincher but my interest in doing things for myself is influenced by reading the Little House books and by working at a Living Farm set in the 1820's. There I learned to produce food and fabric from scratch and to rely on what was available.
